Who we are

We’ve spent our careers on one question.

How do you trust what an AI system produces? The three of us came together on Genia, and we’ve been pointed at this problem since — from AR hardware and global e-commerce to self-driving perception.

“Every technology I’ve worked on only mattered once it fit the way people already work. Agents are the same — the hard part isn’t the model, it’s the workflow around it.”

Founding head of product at the AR company XREAL. Grew Amazon Global Store 3× in GMV through AI initiatives, then built AI SaaS as VP of Product at Voila. Founded and led Genia, a generative-AI platform for professional engineers, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, Boost VC, and Amplify.

“I ran the teams where this breaks. The moment AI sped everyone up, our standards slipped and no one person could hold the whole picture anymore.”

Software engineer at Tencent, then co-founder and CTO of Haoqiao, where he built a 300+ person organization and scaled a B2B marketplace to $500M GMV. Later CTO at Genia, leading the AI-powered engineering team.

“In autonomous driving, you state in advance what an output must satisfy, then build the evaluation that proves it. That discipline is exactly what a team needs to trust its agents.”

Built safety-critical perception systems at Waymo and Black Sesame, where AI has to perform reliably in the real world. Genia's first employee, rising to VP of AI leading physics-bounded AI systems.

Where the conviction comes from

We didn’t guess at this problem. We found it.

01

The problem is real

We interviewed 20 engineering leaders — from a 40-person software team to a big-tech conglomerate. The pain was consistent: as agents produce more, the accountable leader can’t keep the work coordinated or vouch for it.

02

The demand is proven

Two of those teams had already started hand-building a crude version of Looply themselves, because nothing on the market met the need. The clearest demand signal there is.

03

The product works

A working prototype already runs the deterministic core, the evidence report, and specialized subagents end-to-end on real pull requests. The rest of the workflow is the road ahead.

Why us

Independent, and accountable to teams.

Looply is an independent company building one thing: the shared workflow for people and AI agents. No platform to protect, no model to sell — and runtime-neutral, so it works with whatever you already run. And we hold one line above all others: a person is accountable for the result, always.

We’re building it in the open — and we’re hiring. Investors welcome too.
